Jay Curtis
Jay Curtis's passion to open an e-bike store was born of a fusion of interests in both cycling and electric mobility. Already an avid mountain biker, Jay's first ride on an e-bike turned him from an e-bike doubter to an e-bike promoter. Jay began converting regular bikes to e-bikes years before commercial e-bikes started to become mainstream in the area. His knowledge from previously being an aircraft mechanic lends credibility to his expertise with e-bike mechanics. Jay has ridden and is familiar with most front range mtb trails as well as: The Colorado Trail, Grand Junction and Fruita area trails, and many Moab mtb trails. Jay's favorite e-mobility ride is an electric skateboard, but he also loves e-scooters, e-moto (electric motorcycles) and electric cars as well. Even an electric kayak for fishing!
Holly Curtis
When Holly Curtis, a native of Arvada, Colorado, rode her first e-bike she knew suddenly all the potential and impact an e-bike could have on a person's quality of life. It opened up all kinds of possibilities that previously she considered not possible. She could accomplish biking endeavors that she couldn't accomplish before: she could bike further, get up "that killer hill" and just enjoy riding without absolutely exhausting herself. She knew she had to help other people discover this as well. So she joined Jay in his passion to open an e-bike store. Thus Blue Mountain E-Bikes was born in Arvada, CO.
